  • ½ cup American mustard
  • ¼ cup water
  • ⅓ cup apple cider Vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 50 grams butter
  • ¾ teaspoon chilli powder
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt


This traditional South Carolina barbecue sauce has a great balance of mustard, tang and slight sweetness. It is a great addition to all your barbecue dishes, especially pulled pork.

  1. Add all the sauce ingredients to a Weber small casserole dish or saucepan and simmer over a low heat for 15 minutes, or until slightly thickened, whisking as needed.
